Winners of the 2025 English Essay Awards will read from their writing on June 5 at 1:30pm in The Little Theater. Winning essays are selected annually by faculty of the É«ÖÐÉ« English department who each may nominate up to three student papers. Total prize money given out this year in the categories of narrative essay and research essay is $3000. 

There are four narrative essays that (1) honor the Klallam language, (2) describe living on the streets of Seattle, (3) joke about learning to ride a motorcycle, and (4) ponder hiking in the local woods.

The 12th Annual É«ÖÐÉ« Moving Pictures Film Festival shines a spotlight on the incredible talent of our students and alumni, showcasing their ability to create persuasive, passionate, and poignant short video productions powered by intention and purpose. Renne Emiko Brock, Multimedia Communications Program coordinator and instructor, will host a Q&A session with Multimedia Communications students to discuss their successes and share insights about the digital storytelling and video courses offered at É«ÖÐÉ«.

Meet Jere Canote: A Musical Journey Through Vintage Americana

Get ready for an evening of fun, toe-tapping music and story with Jere Canote! A master musician, teacher, and luthier, Jere has been delighting audiences with his eclectic blend of vintage Americana since the mid-1970s. Known for his ability to effortlessly move between guitar, banjo, and ukulele, Jere brings a unique flair to old-time country, swing, and quirky novelty tunes.

Join us on Thursday, June 5 for the É«ÖÐÉ« Music Department's Spring Concert. The Spring Concert will showcase musicians from the Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Masters. Featured vocalists include Avery Saul, Christine Moon, Hayden Raynurn, Mary Ellen Bartholomew, Janet Lucas, Evelyn Leigh, Doug Breithaupt, and Robin Eaves.

Enjoy of a mixture of Broadway to Pop and listen tto the vocal stylings of favorites like Nice & Easy, Bring Him Home, Puttin' on the Ritz, and many more!
